The School Council are elected by their class to represent them at meetings|
and share their ideas on how to improve the school. At PPJS it is very important
to us that we listen to our 'pupil voice'.
As well as discussing issues that they feel need improving in the school, they plan and lead our Anti-Bullying Week each year, which includes taking assembly and raising awareness of bullying and how to deal with it. They also lead on some of our fundraising for events like Sport Relief and Comic Relief, and carry out duties such as organising the playground equipment each playtime.
In the past they have campaigned for a Friendship Bench in the playground, better playground equipment and have written our playground charter to make sure that children feel happy and safe in the playground.
